Service of Lessons and Carols

We have a special treat for you this Advent! For our 10:00 am service on December 18th (the fourth Sunday of Advent) our amazing quartet will present a full service of 9 Lessons and Carols. Under the direction of our Organist & Choirmaster David Soar, this service will be modeled after the world-famous Lessons and Carols service broadcast every Christmas Eve by the choir of King’s College, Cambridge.

Music by our quartet will alternate with special readings and congregational singing. The service will culminate with the lighting and blessing of the Christmas candle on the Advent wreath, and there will be festive drinks for everyone on the courtyard in front of the church after worship.

Note that Lessons & Carols will be the full service; there will be no sermon or Eucharist at this service on this day. Come enjoy this Advent tradition of beautiful music and Scripture, and feel free to bring a friend or two. This will be a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit!
