We acknowledge that Christ Episcopal Church sits upon the ancestral land of the Coast Miwok people who inhabited Sausalito (Lewan Helowah) for thousands of years and we are grateful for their stewardship of this land. We remember that the Coast Miwok peoples were separated from these lands, unable to maintain their livelihoods and unable to practice their traditional lifestyle. Yet they remain a resilient, living people with a future.
